MQ to the Rescue: How We Helped A Client Correct Critical Data Conversion Failures from A Previous Conversion Vendor

by | Aug 15, 2024

MediQuant was called in by DDA Hinsdale (Digestive Disease Associates, Ltd.) to convert documentation into their new EHR when the documentation provided by their prior archiving vendor was incomplete. DDA Hinsdale had been struggling for nearly two years with gaps in their Progress Notes and H&P Documents, which forced them to constantly rely on their old system, leading to inefficiencies and frustration among the clinical staff.

After a thorough review, the project team identified that the previous vendor had failed to properly extract and map the data. MediQuant proceeded to re-extract the necessary data, ensured accurate mapping, and successfully loaded the complete and accurate documents into the new EHR system. This comprehensive solution allowed DDA Hinsdale to fully transition to their new system, improving operational efficiency.

Dr. Suman Kaur, a physician at DDH Hinsdale, Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, expressed her gratitude to the MediQuant experts who led the project, Jason Stewart, Conversion Services Manager and Jamee Gamboa, Data Conversion Team Lead:

“I’ve alluded to before, this process had become frustrating and disappointing, not to mention incredibly time-consuming. If not for your help, I can’t imagine how much longer it could have been painfully drawn out. From our very first conversation this January until the work was completed, you worked very patient and diligently. I was impressed how quickly you were able to figure out what the issue really was, something that we had struggled with for almost two years.

Special thanks to Jamee for getting this done so quickly and accurately. As a result, all of the data is now properly transferred, which will undoubtedly make things easier for my practice going forward. I also appreciate the price break that was offered by your company.”
