BRECKSVILLE, Ohio--MediQuant®, the leading innovator and provider of enterprise active archiving solutions to hospitals and health systems, announced the addition of Dana Sellers as a Board Member. Over her 30-year career, Sellers has been recognized as a pioneer in electronic health record (EHR) strategy and healthcare information technology (HIT) solutions that support value-based care.
Most recently, Sellers was co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Encore Health Resources, a provider of HIT consulting, retiring from Encore after it was acquired by emids in 2017. Encore had been named a Modern Healthcare “Best Place to Work” repeatedly since its inception in 2009.
“We are delighted to have Dana join the MediQuant board as we navigate a significant new era of growth,” said MediQuant CEO Jim Jacobs. “She brings knowledge, experience, an entrepreneurial spirit and history of dedication to employee and client satisfaction.”
Other MediQuant board members include: MediQuant founder and chairman Tony Paparella and Jeff Crisan and Nikhil Marathe of Silversmith Capital Partners.
Before starting her own firm, Sellers was president and chief operating officer at Healthlink leading to its acquisition by IBM’s Global Business Solutions. She stayed with IBM for four years as a partner overseeing the U.S. healthcare provider team.
“My credo is a great match for the long-term commitment and recent clinical expansion of MediQuant: to offer the best healthcare IT to improve patient care and outcomes,” said Sellers. “It’s exciting to turn my attention to helping healthcare facilities and providers with the smoothest possible transitions to update and upgrade their data systems to meet today’s needs. If we can ease the burden of information management and reporting, we can help make IT a pathway to better and more successful health services.”
Sellers also serves on the board of emids. She has served on the boards of CHIME, the CHIME Foundation and the CHIME Education Foundation, and is a recipient of the CHIME Foundation Industry Leader Award.
